* Earthman introduces second Pocahontas Press book

Blacksburg's Julie Earthman has released her second book, Stumbleumkin, with Pochahontas Press. Like her first book Cinder Reller, Stumblebumpkin is a collection of folk tales adapted to the Appalachian region in a beautifully illustrated, full-color hardbound book. Like the first book, this new book was illustrated by Thong Le, who did the cover artwork for Michael Abraham's non-fiction book Harmonic Highways.

* Sam G. Riley dies

We are saddened by the passing of Virginia Tech professor and Pocahontas Press author Sam G.  Riley III. Sam was a wonderful, mirthful man and we enjoyed knowing and working with him.

Pocahontas Press principal Michael Abraham has released his 5th book (3rd in fiction) called WAR, WV. It is a story of the quest for justice in the Appalachian coal fields.
